Frequently asked questions

Is Orbivagus free?

Yes, during the beta. The plan: a daily challenge that stays free and a full game as a one-off purchase, with no ads or aggressive in-app purchases.

What can I play on?

A recent browser on a computer. A macOS app is in the works. The game is best enjoyed on a wide screen.

Why do I need an account?

For the daily challenge leaderboard and, soon, to find your game on several devices. An email is all it takes: you receive a 6-digit code, no password.

What do you do with my email?

It is only used to sign you in. No ads, no resale, no tracking. You can delete your account at any time from the game; everything is then erased.

Where is the data hosted?

In Europe, in Amsterdam, with our hosting provider Railway.

Are the timetables and prices real?

No: they are game-scale estimates inspired by real travel times. CO₂ emissions follow factors inspired by the French ADEME carbon database. Don’t book your holidays with them!

Are the places real?

Yes. Notebook pages tell verifiable facts and link to Wikipedia, which also provides the photos.

Can I lose?

Not really: no bankruptcy, no game over. The game rewards care, not speed.

How do I report a bug or suggest an idea?

Write to the address given in the legal notice. During the beta, every bit of feedback counts.
